THOUGHTS OF YOU © 1997
Romantic Poem by Dean FH Macy
I looked at the stars tonight.
They filled the heavens,
Sparkling, twinkling myriad colors,
Breathtakingly beautiful against the velvet black.
Gods creations. A miracle of wonder.
So tiny,
So vast,
Filling every corner of the universe:
Angel splashes in the night.
And then I thought of you;
You fill my heavens,
Sparkling a million colors,
Breathtakingly beautiful.
You, Gods creation,
Filling every corner of my life,
Chasing away the blackness with your music,
And love,
Filling my soul with every color of the universe.
And then I looked again.
The sky,
Once radiant,
Filled with twinkling gems,
Now empty
In comparison to you.
You, more breathtaking than heavenly glow,
Chasing away the myriad stars
With your light.
If I had a million tomorrows
There would not be enough time
To tell you
How much I love you,
Beautiful, wondrous, love.
