You,
In passing through my life,
Have left part of your essence with me.
You have influenced my life
Just by being.
Your smile chases away my life's clouds.
Your laughter makes me smile.
Your vitality moves me to action when I feel like quitting.
And,
Just by being in the same room with you,
I feel relaxed,
At peace in the world.

You,
By leaving a part of yourself with me,
Have made my world happier.
I love more,
Hate less,
Speak with a softer voice,
Sing with increased confidence,
Have greater patience than I once had;
In short,
I am a better person
Because of you.
