QUOTE OF THE YEAR: "I would much rather take young children and help them with proper breathing techniques, good clear diction, self confident performances, musical interpretation and general comprehension of musical signs and terminology than let them be mutilated in a poor choir situation or allowed to mimic the less than adequate styles of some of today's pop artists just because they were too young. I believe that if the teacher is careful regarding repertoire given and techniques applied that the child is better off working under a qualified teacher than being left to cultivate bad habits that may cause real damage."   (J.
