COMMENT: I teach all ages, the youngest generally age 8. I do teach technique to children, much to the surprise of people who don't believe children are capable of learning such things. What delights me the most is what I learn from them and their insights. Example: While I was working with an eleven year old student on trying to make a smooth transition across a register adjustment, she looked at me and said: 'It feels like I'm shifting gears.'  Exactly!
